Xellia was established in Oslo 105 years ago, in 1903, with the name Apothekernes Laboratorium. Today, the company is owned by funds managemd by 3i and members of the company's management team.
Xellia is a niche API supplier in transformation towards becoming a specialty pharma company. We have leading market positions in several life saving anti-infective products and we have a growing presence and capability in injectable finished dosage form. We posess core competences in fermentation, purification and injectable formulation with a growing capability in chemical synthesis.
We do business with approximately 700 pharmaceutical companies in more than 70 countries and we employ in excess of 790 people.
